About Miller Insurance
The Miller Insurance Agency takes a vested interest in each of our clients’ unique situations. We believe that customer service is the key to a long-term successful business relationship. Miller Insurance understands while delivering great service is critical to our success, it is the attention paid to our customers that build the relationships.
Our Agency also believes in giving back to our community through volunteer work and charitable contributions. In years past we have sponsored local youth athletics, ALS Walks, The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, The Boys & Girls Club, and NOAH to name a few. Along with these sponsorships our agency has also spent time volunteering with local charities, helped build a local playground, and Ben sits on the National Advisory Board for the Risk and Management department as the President at Washington State University.
We are looking forward to expanding our community involvement and charitable partnerships.
Ben Miller is a graduate of Washington State University (GO COUGS!!) with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Risk Management and Insurance. He immediately pursued a career in the insurance industry. Working for years in reinsurance, claims and as a scratch captive agent helped set the stage for the successful launch of The Miller Insurance Agency.
Ben enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors, snowboarding, fly fishing, bicycling, hiking, camping, and spending time with his family and dog (outdoors of course). As a COUG he always enjoys getting back to Pullman and helping out where possible. Currently, he is the President of the National Board of Advisors Insurance Department and gets back to Pullman at least 2 times a year.
Gretchen Vaughn has been in the Insurance Industry since 2004, first as a customer service representative for Ben Miller, then helping move with him to the Independent Insurance side of the business in 2006. Her current position as Accounts Manager allows her the personal one on one contact with the clients that she enjoys.
This proud Navy Veteran is a busy Mom of three active kids. Most weekends you can find her assisting Scouting activities, cheering on the sidelines of football games, or watching dance recitals. In the warmer months, you will find Gretchen playing tennis, camping with family in her home state of Montana, or completing a do-it-yourself project at home. She loves cooking for friends and family and doesn’t pass up the opportunity to try a new craft beer.
Lynn Urionaguena was born and raised in Snohomish County and currently resides in Arlington. Lynn has a creative flair. She enjoys designing and baking cakes, crafting, and decorating. When she isn’t busy being a wife and mother of two teenagers, she can often be found creating and working on her next imaginative project.
Lynn’s positive attitude and friendly nature, as well as her past experience in office management, are a perfect addition to our team. She enjoys working in the fast paced, never dull environment of insurance and will soon be working towards attaining her Property & Casualty license.
Steve Birds is a proud alum of Washington State University with a BA in Communications. He was a 4 year collegiate soccer player, as well as holding an officers position in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. After over 13 years of working at Enterprise Rent A Car he decided to make a career change and has been working in the insurance industry for several years. He says it was scary to change careers, but he enjoys helping protect what’s important his clients.
When Steve isn’t working he can be found with his two kids, wife, and Black Lab. They will most likely be outdoors hiking, fly fishing, camping, skiing or just running around. He is a man of many interest and has competed in several Ironman triathlons, ultra marathons, and adventure races. Most likely if you see him outside he will have his camera with him as his work as been published several times in publications.
