The Miller Insurance Agency takes a vested interest in each of our clients’ unique insurance situations. We believe that customer service is the key to a long-term successful business relationship. Miller Insurance understands while delivering great service is critical to our success, it is the attention paid to our customers that build the relationships.
Our Agency also believes in giving back to our community through volunteer work and charitable contributions. In years past we have sponsored local youth athletics, ALS Walks, The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, The Boys & Girls Club, Healing Angels Ranch Team, Be Like Josh Foundation, Reboot Recovery, ALS Warrier Jenn, Acres of Diamonds, Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Wildland Firefighter Foundation, and NOAH to name a few. Along with these sponsorships our agency has also spent time volunteering with local charities, helped build a local playground, raked leaves for senior citizens, and Ben has sat on the National Advisory Board for the Risk and Management department as the President at Washington State University (GO COUGS!!) .
We are looking forward to expanding our community involvement and charitable partnerships.
Ben Miller is a graduate of Washington State University with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Risk Management and Insurance. Ben immediately pursued a career in the insurance industry. Working for years in reinsurance, claims and as a scratch captive agent helped set the stage for the successful launch of The Miller Insurance Agency. As an avid outdoorsman, Ben enjoys spending his free time fly-fishing, snowboarding, bicycling, photography, hiking, golfing, or just getting outside with his wife, daughter, and 2 dogs – Finley and Otis.
Gretchen Reed has been in the Insurance industry working alongside Ben Miller since December 2004. As the Personal Lines Account Manager, she puts her vast knowledge in Risk Management and asset protection to work for you the customer, making sure your policies are up-to-date and meet your ever-changing Insurance needs.
A proud Veteran and mom of two boys, Gretchen has discovered a passion for hiking and backpacking in recent years. When the weather warms up, you’ll often find her outdoors or spending time with family in her home state of Montana. She’s also always up for a good road trip or the chance to try a new craft beer.
Steve Birds is a proud alum of Washington State University with a BA in Communications. He was a 4-year collegiate soccer player, as well as holding an officer’s position in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. After over 13 years of working at Enterprise Rent A Car, he decided to make a career change and has been working in the insurance industry for several years. He enjoys helping protect what’s important, his clients. When Steve isn’t working, he can be found with his two kids, wife, and Black Lab. They will most likely be outdoors hiking, fly fishing, camping, skiing or just running around. He is a man of many interests and has competed in several Ironman triathlons, ultra-marathons, and adventure races. Most likely if you see him outside he will have his camera with him as his work has been published several times.
Hannah Hofmann originally a music major in college, moved from California to Western Washington at the age of 18. She now owns her own home in Sultan with her husband and rescued Rhodesian Ridgeback (baby) Dixie.
Hannah’s insurance industry experience was mostly behind the scenes working for lenders and carriers directly, but is looking forward to bringing her knowledge and customer service experience to the front lines in an Agency setting. When Hannah isn’t working you can find her trying new foods all over Washington, camping, walking her dog, or singing.
Wendy Dahlquist is a happy pug mom and Grandma of three awesome grandkids, her oldest grandson plays in Select baseball and weekends you will find her at the baseball fields cheering him on! She also enjoys gardening, yoga, and experiencing new things and places. She has been a licensed insurance agent since 1995 but her last 20 years in the banking industry and the customer service given with genuine caring and sincerity is at the top of her list of what she takes pride in doing.
Kelly is a licensed Customer Service Representative (since 2023) who loves helping people and making customer interactions easy and stress-free. She’s known for her friendly, down-to-earth approach and enjoys finding solutions that actually make a difference. A California transplant, Kelly spends her free time traveling—especially to haunted spots—reading, and happily indulging her love for anything moose-related. When she’s not assisting customers, she’s probably planning her next adventure.
